VOS Members Will Be Doing a Little Movin’ & Shakin’ for the VOS Education Foundation!

VOS will be holding a pre-conference challenge event that will get your heart pumping and support educational opportunities for our members: The Zoetis Celebration of Movement – Virtual Move-a-Thon.

Thanks to our friends at Zoetis, we won’t be denied the opportunity for fresh air, exercise and friendly competition in 2021! So plan on doing some movin’ and shakin’ during the 30-day run-up to Virtual VOS 2021. You will have some healthy fun and help out the VOS Education Foundation during this challenging time.

We’re a group of active people who have dedicated our careers to helping our patients move comfortably. In a perfect intersection of our avocation and vocation, word is leaking out about the Zoetis Celebration of Movement pre-conference event. The conference may be virtual but reaching your movement goal is up to you!

Here’s the plan for the The Zoetis Celebration of Movement:

• 100% of your tax-deductible registration fee for the Z-CoM event will go to the VOS Education Foundation!

• Registration for the Zoetis Celebration of Movement is separate from your VIRTUAL VOS registration.

• Your registration fee will score you some really sweet athletic swag (see jacket mock-up below), but supplies are limited!

This featherweight Signal Packable Jacket is fully reflective for visibility from dusk to dawn – plus you can pack it away in a built-in waist pack. Along with its reflective graphic pattern and detail, the Signal Jacket features a water resistant coating and water repellent finish, hood with elasticized opening and elastic cord lock at the hem. Inside, it’s got a media-phone and cord port.

• You will choose one of the following as your personal minutes of movement goal:

  • Big Sky - Longest Run - Liberty Bowl to Mountain Village = 6 miles (60 minutes)

  • Big Sky - Slope Conqueror - 300 named runs at Big Sky (300 minutes)

  • Big Sky - Doing it All! - Big Sky has 85 miles of runs (850 minutes)

• MOVE (ski, ride, snowshoe, run, walk, bike, swim, Zumba or any other method you can think of) towards your minutes of movement goal between February 14 and March 18, 2021.

• Submit your minutes of movement to our App (TBD) and track your progress toward your goal as well as OUR progress toward our VOS GOAL of 24,901 minutes of movement!! This is symbolic of the 24,901 miles to circumnavigate the globe as we move from Big Sky, Montana to Davos, Switzerland (where the idea of VOS was first spawned) and continue around the globe as we gather our friends and colleagues to bring them to Snowmass, Colorado for WVOC 2022.

• Submit selfie pictures or < 20 second video clips of your movement journey and event finish (submission details forthcoming). Prizes such as free WVOC 2022 registration, a Snowmass lift ticket, stylin’ Snowmass swag, gift cards, water bottles and more await those whose posts get this most “likes.”

• Join the fun at the VIRTUAL VOS Opening Ceremony as we see our minutes of movement achievements, reveal the total of VOSEF donations, and enjoy our picture and video submissions.
